A day after the attempt to define Lehava as a terrorist organization: Jewish woman who had converted to Islam in the past – returns to Judaism thanks to Lehava
Last night it was reported that Minister of Public Security Omer Bar Lev and MK Ram Ben Barak contacted the Attorney General with a request to define the Lehava organization as a terrorist organization and to declare it illegal. This morning (Tuesday), at the Tel Aviv court, staff from the Lehava organization acted to return a Jewish woman who had converted in the past to Islam and suffered for years with her Muslim husband, back to Judaism.
Benzi Gopstein, Lehava chairman: “If helping Jews in distress and fighting against assimilation is terrorism, I plead guilty, I’m a terrorist. I am informing Bar Lev once and for all that in spite of you, we will continue to act to rescue Jewish girls. The more they torture us, the more we grow and break forward.”
